The Hospitality Capstone Project serves as the culmination of students' hospitality studies, integrating theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired throughout the program into a comprehensive capstone project. In this Capstone Project, students are expected to employ the concepts that they have learned throughout the Program into a project to solve real-world hospitality issues. This Capstone course aims to allow students to practice their critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills in developing innovative solutions, showcasing their proficiency in implementing hospitality concepts and practices for their professional endeavours.

Risk and Crisis Management in Hospitality explores the principles, strategies, and techniques for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks and crises within the hospitality industry. This course covers topics such as risk assessment and management, crisis communication, emergency response planning to unforeseen circumstances, business continuity management, and reputation management. The aim of this course is to prepare students to be able to effectively navigate through a variety of risks such as natural or man-made risks by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to safeguard guests, employees, assets and the organisation’s reputation.

Introduction to Hospitality discusses the overview of the hospitality industry, its various sectors, and the fundamental principles of hospitality management. This course covers topics such as the history and evolution of hospitality, types of hospitality businesses (including hotels, restaurants, tourism and event management) and customer service excellence including guest satisfaction, quality service delivery and experience creation. The aim of this course is to provide students with insights into the diverse facets of the hospitality industry and the key factors driving its success.
